Maintenance Technician

In this role you will be responsible for setting up, operating, maintaining, and repairing production equipment to meet job specifications and OEM standards, including preventive maintenance, electronic board repair, and equipment installation/removal. Works closely with production leadership to ensure equipment reliability and a safe, clean, organized work environment while also supporting building maintenance, inventory tracking, and other maintenance projects.

Reporting structure

The Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Maintenance Manager.

 

Job Requirements

Education and Training

  • High School Diploma / GED Equivalent

  • Degree or Diploma in electronic servicing, engineering or technical school

  • 3 years of experience with mechanical and electrical repair

  • Basic knowledge of a production environment

  • Forklift and Pallet Jack experience

 

Physical requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

  • Ability to stand for 8-10 hours

 

Technical Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office

  • Ability to follow and understand written documentation for project specifications

  • Knowledge and ability to use a multi-meter for testing electrical circuits

  • Ability to perform basic electronic testing

  • Knowledge of motors and sensors

  • Experience with basic hand and power tools

  • Ability to perform basic soldering tasks

 

Responsibilities

  • Daily communication with Maintenance Manager and production shift lead

  • Set up production equipment to meet the requirements of job specifications and production requirements

  • Run and assist with operation of production equipment when required

  • Repair production equipment to meet OEM specifications of machinery

  • Repair electronic boards to OEM specifications

  • Perform machine preventative maintenance

  • Perform various building maintenance tasks

  • Perform other maintenance projects or assignments as required

  • Assist with installation and removal of production equipment

  • Maintain inventory logs

  • Maintain and sustain a clean, organized and safe work environment
